MISSOURI
The play "Missouri," written by Predrag Jakshich, had pre-production at the Levo Theater.
It is a postmodern dramatic text with very current themes and characters from today, characters who are still sailing in the deep waters of the Balkans. The main character in the text has big dreams and solid ambitions; he tries to reach his peak in his career, to his stars that somehow seem too far for the rest of the people around him - after which the mission seems almost impossible. So, he was raised in a regressing society, not advancing. It suppresses, not uplifts. He takes and does not give.
“Missouri“ is an international theater author project of Anika Lehki produced by Theater LevoAKUD LOLA from Belgrade. The goal of the play is to activate the centers of consciousness in charge of returning to simple, reduced peace, to the essence of human beings and what makes us human. Missouri is a story of the search for identity that confronts the darkness within ourselves and the darkness of the outside world.
The text received its first performance by the Macedonian director in an international project in the capital of Serbia. The play has won numerous awards and has many performances in the country of creation and beyond its borders.
